About us
"Magic House: The Museum Gem of Jahorina since 1966"
The Magical House, with its storied existence dating back to 1966, embodies the essence of a living museum, preserving the charm and history of decades gone by. Its builder, Braco Kablar, was one of the pioneers of skiing on Jahorina. Both a skilled skier and competitor, along with his wife Mira, who organized the first ski schools on our mountain.
Therefore, this house has witnessed the development of skiing and tourism on Jahorina from the 1960s onwards. It serves as a time capsule, illuminating the evolution of ski equipment and significant events that have taken place on Jahorina. Some of these events include the Europa Cup in 1975, the World Cup “Golden Fox,” and of course, the IX Winter Olympic Games in 1984, in which Braco and Mira Kablar participated in the organization.

Preserving the Tradition of Jahorina
Together with other enthusiasts, they founded the Jahorina Ski Club in 1995, continuing to support the development of skiing on Jahorina. To ensure that the tradition and soul of Jahorina are preserved, I, Jovana Kablar, have taken on this role in the Magical House. I trained in skiing and competed for over 10 years, and since 2005, I have worked as a ski instructor at the “Vučko” ski school. Involved in mountaineering since my early years and actively pursuing it since 2009, I’ve explored mountains like Treskavica, Maglić, Zelengora, and many others, but Jahorina has always been my mountain. Here, I am familiar with many places, legends, stories, and events that few have had the chance to hear, let alone experience. Therefore, I believe I am well-qualified to introduce all interested parties to the true Jahorina, which, despite the new commercial times, still exists somewhere and has a soul.
