For all nature lovers and adventure seekers who want to experience a different side of Jahorina, where untouched nature still reigns.
This adventure may start from Poljice, an altitude of 1500m or the former Hotel Šator (the first hotel built on Jahorina, it was estableshed in 1961, contributing to the area’s development as a ski resort and tourist destination)
From that point we climb right side of skiing track Poljice, pasing by six-seater lift Trnovo, up the hill all the way to the artificial lake and peak ‘Paloševina’ known for its stunning views.
The Začarani Dvori plateau is also an attractive spot, famous for its natural beauty and unique atmosphere, often ideal for outings and enjoying unspotted nature.
From there we decend into the vast plateau of Gola jahorina.
Gola Jahorina is known for its expansive fields of the softest grass, where you can sink in up to your ankles. Combined with the views, you’ll fell as if you’re walking on clouds.
Through the expanses of dense flowers and fragrant herbs, we make our way toward the peak of Košuta, which can be seen in the distance.
There used to be a military base on Košute, where soldiers of the former SFRJ served in the 1970s and 1980s. Some of them have told mi about their experiences from those days when they had to descend to the foot of Jahorina and return to Košuta multiple times a day. Yet, being young, strong, and happy to stay on such a peak, they have preserved that period of their lives in fond memories.
And we, hikers, explorers, and nature lovers, will probably want to spend some time there. We’ll take a break for coffee and a snack, absorbing the magnificent views from all sides.
On the way back, it is possible to join the gravel road that leads to Rajska Dolina, or simply cut across the skiing sloaps the Olimpic slalom, across Ogorjelica, back to Poljice.

KALAJDŽIJIN KAMEN
Trail length: 6km

Kalajdžijin kamena offers the most amazing view of the western slopes of Jahorina . From Klek and Trijeska in the distance to the southwest, to the Olympic skiing sloaps of Skočine, all the way to the peaks of Ogrjelica and Paloševina in the northeast.
Also local legends are surrounding Kalajdžijin kamen. One story involves a miner who discovered a treasure hidden in the rock, which is said to be cursed, leading to misfortune for those who seek it without respect for the mountain. Such tails contribute to the mystique of the area, making it a point of interest for hikers and nature enthusiasts who enjoy both nature and folklore.
You can start this trail from Hotel Bistrica, following the markings or a guide who can lead you through the secrets of dense forests to the ridge’s edge, where you can enjoy a fascinating view entire time. Heading towards Hladilo Hill, we reach the top of Kalajdžijin Kamena, where the scenery definitely speaks louder than words. You’ll want to stay there for a while, enjoying the sun, having a snack, and soaking magnificent waive and atmosphere, before returning. This way we combine well marked, Path of Love and Path of Health. From Hotel Vučko, we take the Path of Love, through the forest along the Bistrica River. The journey continues on the Path of Health to Kalajdžijin Kamena and then circling back to Hotel Vučko. In this case, the length of the trail would be approximately 9.80 km, taking about 5 hours with breaks.”

Trail difficulty: Moderate-Difficult (bushwalking experience recommended)
This track is long, rough and at some point very steep, therefore, it requires a certain level of fitness, physical capability and experience. Since we already talk about The Preča Spring, from that point our journey continues through dense forest with many obstacles. “Through obstacles and streams we wander, to reach the glade, a meadow midst the jungle’s wonder.” This hidden field amidst imposing woodland is called Lokvanjska vrela (Lokvanjska spring). In that meadow, far from noise and the daily rush of modern life, where the only sounds are birdsong and the murmur of the stream, you will feel as if time has paused and we exist only in this present moment. Here, we will bask in the sun and admir wild flovers for a while, share snacks, coffee, and experiences, before continuing our journey. From Lokvanjska Springs, a view unfolds up the mountain where we are going to ascend to the ridge. This ascent is not easy and is recommended for more prepared hikers and mountaineers. But as passionate mountaineers and nature enthusiasts know, the most challenging climbs often offer the most beautiful views and feelings when you finally reach the summit! We continue along the ridge for a while, enjoying a spectacular view from all sides, as a reward for all our efforts. Then, we can either take the path towards (Paradise Valley) Rajska Dolina, or continue ascending further up, to the summit of Ogorjelica. From there, we go down the skiing slopes back to where our journey began, near Hotel Jahorina.
